After a few years with a flex I am buying a surge, just want to know if I can keep using my current dashboard or if I have to start from scratch again?

Sure you can! Just set up the Surge as a replacement for the Flex and it will retain all your history.

A new Fitbit Tracker will become available in March, which can be pre-ordered from the Fitbit Store.

Its like the Surge but has a colour screen, Fitstar exercises on the screen, displaying notifications and calendar events.. has replaceable bands..

Not using a internal GPS though possible to use the GPS from the phone.
