I'm having the same issue with my clock not re-setting to the correct time zone. I have synced and even told my iPhone to forget the device and then re-connected. I double-checked the time zone from my computer as well. This has been going on all week. Everything syncs, except the clock.

Changing the timezone then syncing should update the time on the Surge. If it doesnt then what has been working is to set your Surge up as a replacement device.

Hello there @Signingkoala, @RJ820DE and @kenbillings! I'm glad to know that @Rich_Laue's advice help you to resolve your timezone issue. In order to avoid this in the future, you can do the following:
1. Double tap the home button on your iOS device. Your open apps will show on your device's screen.
2. Close the Fitbit app by swiping the app image in an upward motion.
3. Open the Settings app from your iPhone home screen.
4. Tap "General."
5. Tap "Date & Time."
6. Ensure that "Set Automatically" is ON.
7. Reopen the Fitbit app. The issue should now be resolved.
Good luck!

I have an android that just updated today. The time is now 2 hours ahead of my time MDT. I have done all of the resets and all the time zones are correct. Surge will still not sync to the correct time.

@Walberts have you followed @VivisFitbit's advice above?
Two thoughts i have forest usually fixes this type of problem, the second someone does but is easier.
The first should definately work, the second might be faster to try.
Please also recheck the timezone settings on the app again,
