Hi,

I just wanted to add some food in the app, but I noticed that I already had burn 500 calories in 2 hours. But in these 2 hours the Surge was charching. So I don't burned this many calories. How can I delete this?

No way to delete them

The calories burned are BMR calories. Your fitbit also calculates calories burned for your BMR. You burn calories just by being alive! Even Sleeping. Fitbit includes these burned calories in it's calorie calculations, so even if you did not wear the fitbit, you'll still burn these calories.

Are you sure the 500 calories were burned during the 2 hours or did you just notice that there were 500 calories burned at the end of that 2 hours?

As well as tracking calories you burn through activity, your fitbit also tracks your BMR calories. These are the calories you burn just keeping your body alive (even when asleep). They are calculated from your profile settings (age, weight etc) so you needn't be wearing your fitbit to get them. I'm wondering if what you were seeing was the total BMR calories since midnight.

To answer your specific question. There isn't a way to remove calories burned.

When I look at the graphics I see between 08:00 and 09:00 2 huge peaks with over 200 calories. But at the time I was in the office sitting in a chair. The Surge was charging at the moment. From midnight it was in total 1000+ calories.

I think this is a lost day for the Surge.

That is strange. I can't explain a burst of calorie burn without steps unless it synced when charging and picked up something from another app. Do you have your fitbit linked to any other apps?

It is linked with MyFitnessPal, but I only use it with my food.

I'm afraid that if there isn't also an unexplained step count during the same time then I'm stumped. I hope someone can solve the mystery for you.

My calories are also way off. I've only walked 54 steps this morning but when I first checked, my calories burned was at 341. I don't move about in my sleep that much! Whilst sitting for the last few minutes, my steps have doubled and I've burned 40 calories. I hope this isn't going to be a reoccuring thing..

EDIT: Okay, I read some other threads and apparently this is my BMR calories and thus correct?

@ShadowDT yes, those numbers sound reasonable for them to be your BMR calories burned since midnight.
