Shutdown Surge, now not working

My FitBit wasn't syncing at all and I did everything to try and get it to. My last resort was shutdown, and once I did, it came back on with the screen of the arrow. I can't get it to do anything else and trying to restart it by holding down the home and bottom right buttons is getting me nowhere. What should I do?

A few questions:

  • Is your Surge fully (or at least reasonably well) charged?
  • Is your Surge currently plugged into the charging cable?  I ask because I've had problems restarting my while plugged into the charging cable.
  • When attempting to restart your Surge, did you press just the left key, or did you try and hit two or more at once?  I ask because when I restart my Surge, I simply press the left key once and wait about 20 seconds.

Somehow, it turned back on. Now I can't get it to sync. What a day.

Are you trying to sync via a phone or your computer?  I've found if both my phone and computer are together on my desk (a very common scenario), the phone's connection with my Fitbit will block any attempt from my computer to sync; the phone almost always works.

I'm trying to sync with my phone only. I've never synced it to my computer before. I don't know why it's not syncing at all. I've never encountered this problem and not been able to remedy it by now.
