Step display accurate, mileage display not. I did 11k steps it says 25 miles...what am I, Paul Bunyan? Those are some HUGE steps!
It was fine til today. I reset it and updated it (didn't need any updates), still says 25 miles in 11k steps. Have been having issue with it shooting up to 168 around the 5 mile mark when I walk too for HR, though I know my HR is no where near that high. Maybe 130 at peak, usually 111 to 116.
What gives? I've only had it 5 months.

You might want to look into calibrating your stride length to get more accurate readings.

Welcome to the Community @Sinsual! I'd like to follow up on this with you. Can you let me know if @Collin1000's advice helped you to resolve the issue with your distance. Regarding your issue with your heart rate, a restart is a good beginning. I recommend making sure you're wearing your Surge leaving 2 - 3 fingers between your tracker and your wristbone. This will improve the accuracy of your buddy.
