I'm currently training for a 100km walk... and have noticed that the distance displayed on the watch while I'm walking is totally different to what comes up when I sync to the app.
This evening according to the watch I walked 15.06km, but after syncing it came up as 14.68km
Moderator edit: I have moved your post to the Surge board to increase the chance of getting a response.

I'm glad to see you in the Forums, welcome @DeeCrow! This is not normal. Have you tried to restart your Fitbit Charge HR and try it again. Also I recommend you to use the "Activity mode", pressing the side button on your tracker for 5 seconds to track your walk. After syncing, this activity will be shown in your Dashboard. You can see it in your phone by tapping on the "Track exercise" tile o in your Fitbit.com Dashboard clicking on Log > Activities > Activity History.
Hope this helps! ![]()

Hi,
I'm not using an HR, I'm using a surge, I don't think the HR has GPS.
My watch now doesn't swipe, and only offers run as an option.

Hope you're doing great @DeeCrow! Thanks for the clarification, my mistake! Your about page shows Charge HR as connected with this account and since all trackers show distance I got confused. In your case it's best to use the option "Run" or "Walk" depending on your activity. "Walk" would be the best for you. ![]()
If you're not able to swipe in your Surge, try to restart it and sync it. Also check "Shortcuts" on your Fitbit App. Tap on Account > Surge > Exercise Shortcuts. Then sync your Fitbit Surge again.
Hope you get better results in that way, let me know how it goes! ![]()
