Does it work with Spotify?

I do not own a fitbit yet but I'm doing my research and most likely buying one for myself. I was just wondering if the Surge will control Spotify? And if not, does one of the other devices?

The Surge basically works like a Bluetooth remote for your phone. It doesn't care what app is playing the music. If Spotify is installed on your phone and the Surge is paired using the Bluetooth Classic connection then it should work. There may be some issues in launching the desired app if you have more than one music player but that's an issue with your phone not the Surge.

Do you research thoroughly before deciding on the Surge. Search on the band/strap issues in this forum.

Thanks for your answer! I really wasn't sure. I looked at the third party apps and Spotify wasn't there, so I just wanted to make sure.
