Hi,
I'm looking to get a Surge but I'm curious if it tracks speed; top speed, average speed, sprints etc.
I'm looking to use this for both running and for football training where I'd like to measure my top speed (sprints) and average speed thoughout a session.
Cheers,
Chris

The answer is "Yes", but...
It all depends upon how you are expecting your speed to be represented. On the Fitbit Dashboard, you can open your "Activities" and then the particular run you're interested in reviewing. On that page you'll see a display like the following image. The graphs are interactive so as you move the mouse pointer across the graph it will show the pace at that moment in terms of minutes and seconds per mile (mouse pointer in this case was at the end of my run which was showing an 8:45 pace per mile, or 6.857 miles per hour).

Thanks for this.
So am I correct in thinking that during fast runs and sprints I should see spikes? Is there any way of changing it to display over time, rather than distance?

Not that I'm aware of; you might want to submit a feature request.
