Can anyone help. I have just worn my Fitbit surge on a road bike ride up mt tiedi trnerife. its 2300meters of climbing however my fit but says elevation 1234 ft. Does this part of the surge actually work ??

@Jjones123 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It should give you accurate data! I will recommend to perform a restart to fix any inaccuracy problems. It should work properly after that.

No it doesn't. Has been broken for forever, there's ample other threads on the forum about it, but FB seems to ignore the issue. No change in over a year.
Walk/run/hike works, bike doesn't. Many others (including myself) see the same behaviour; getting less than 10% of an actual climb acknowledged is highly unsatisfactory, and I much doubt that the calorie calculations based on that data will be accurate, either.

Greetings @SunsetRunner! So if I understood correctly, you have already restarted your Surge and it's still not accurate? Yikes, in that case I recommend contacting our Support Team for a second opinion. They definitely have the proper tools to take a deeper look into your tracker's bahavior.
