Elliptical workout not recognized

My new Surge was tracking my elliptical workouts automatically until I added elliptical to the list of excercises . Now it doesn't recognize my workout and I have to log it in. How do I delete elliptical from the list?

Since eliptycal has been added,  are manually starting this mode or letting it aito detect? I would think manually starting would not require the Surge to auto detect.

No I was adding it later as it didn't auto detect. I'd like to delete elliptical from my list of excercises to see if it will auto detect again, but I can't figure out how to do that.

On the android after tapping on the desired exrtcose their is a switch on the top right corner to turn out on our off. Then a sync is needed
