What exercise setting would best fit for using a jump rope with the fitbit surge?

Hi there @leezy26, welcome aboard to our Community. Now that you ask, I think the best way to track your exercise is using the Workout option on your Surge. As this option is more general for different type of activities. Otherwise you can manually log this activity directly on your Dashboard as Jumping Rope. I bet you are quite familiar with the manual activities but if you need additional information check one of my previous posts for manual activities.

Hope it helps and let me know if I can do something else for you.

It also depends on they way you jump, I suppose - I just did a 10 minute tabata session with 20'' full on and 10'' slow-ish and the calories are equal to logging, for example, 10 minutes moderate jumping in My Fitness Pal. I do, however, not concern myself too much with the steps count for jumping rope…
