FBBluetooth Error 24

Hi, please help! 

 

Trying to set up my new Surge and keep getting error codes connecting to bluetooth. Error code 24? Is this a fault with my Surge? How can i fix this as the fitbit screen is still displaying the configuration set-up screen. 😞

Unable to set up my new surge. When I enter the 4 digit code, the screen comes up with “error”. Any solution?

I'm having same problem as the other 20 people who have posted on this issue.  I have a replacement Surge- it won't pair to Mac or iPhone 6.  I've tried Live Chat with Fitbit 2 times now, and neither time resulted in help. It is obvious from this site that there is a terrible problem.  Whey doesn't Fitbit contribute to this site and provide a solution?  Everyone will get new Fitbits for Christmas and we'll have further competition for support.

I had the same problem with my iPhone 7 running iOS 11.2.1. 

Specifically, Bluetooth Error 24 on setup and if I skipped through it I would get Error 8. 

I was able to complete the update on my Surface running Windows 10 Pro using the Windows Fitbit App. Now the surge works on my iPhone also. 

Also. Make sure to turn Your phone’s Bluetooth off so it doesn’t interfere while trying to use PC

This is insane. I've been trying for four hours to get this thing to work, with the same error code. This is my third Surge in six months and I'm about to go nuclear and have it fully refunded. Their customer service--while earnest--is an absolute farce.

When I reset my device, there is the error message.

 

What's the meaning?

I just recived my surge replacement and i keep getting the same message when i set it up. Please help.

I was given a surge by a friend who couldn't get it set up properly on his Android phone. It was his 2nd surge as well. I brought it home and set it up on my windows 10 pc, and it updated the firmware and synced to my account without a single problem. It's been syncing perfectly to my pc for months now.

 

Start out by setting it up on a pc first, then once it's connected to your account add it to the phone. 

 

The Android mobile app is terrible for first time setup :-[

I have exactly the same problem... I have been trying for hours to sync my replacement surge to my iPhone 7.

I can get the code on the surge but then get error code 24 on the app. If I click OK it says I need to update the tracker, try and do that I get error code 8.

I have removed the device half a dozen times. Switched everything on and off. Updated the software on my phone, switched Bluetooth off and back on, pressed 'forget this device', rebooted the phone, tried to do it on my computer with the lead... Spoken to fitbit support by email and twitter...

None of it has got me anywhere, it seems to be a common problem - surely there is a fix?

There are a few messages about this but no response to solve it... I’ve been trying to set my surge up all day and keep getting this. I’ve removed and tried again numerous times! Please help!

I have having the exact same issue.  Started with the error 24 and now when trying to update get error 8.  Spending far too much trying to set up my replacement Surge.
