Ok, please bear with me here as a novice poster + runner, I have tried to read through as much as possible on here but can't find what I'm looking for . . .
I have an iPhone 6S with both Fitbit and MapMyRun+ apps and have recently bought a new Surge to track runs and walks (cycling will come later).
While not being overly impressed with the Surge, I bought it for its GPS, Heartrate and Calories burned functionality so instead of using my iPhone all the time I could sync directly to the MapMyRun+ app (which I have historically used) - or at least that was what seemed 'possible' from all the PR info that I read . . . I should have researched on here first!
Anyway, I now understand that the above just isnt possible (yet) and to get the info from the Surge to log into MapMyRun+, I first need to sync the Surge with the Fitbit app, and then in turn from the Fitbit app to the MayMyRun+ App . . . trouble is that I am failing miserably with that too, I can see the info in the Fitbit app so it is syncing with the Surge, but can't see it logged/sync'd in the MapMyRun+ app despite having the Fitbit App listed as being 'connected' in the MapMyRun+ settings?
Is there anything else that I should be doing - what am I missing?
Thanks in advance for any help, it is greatly appreciated (even just reading all that deserves a ty).
Chris.

2 things...
First, when you sync with the Fitbit servers they automatically send out the info to whatever connected 3rd party apps you are using. What happens to that data at that point is up the the 3rd party. It could feed your account immediately, sit in a queue for a while or nothing could happen if their servers are down or overloaded.
Second, while Fitbit sends pretty much all of the info, the 3rd party developers choose what info they want to "let in" or send out. Fitbit has no control over this.
Any time someone has an issue with a 3rd party app I usually recommend they contact support over there as the issue is usually on their end.

Thanks Pat,
Seems its a lot more complicated than I thought . . . ok, next stop is MapMyRun support.
Cheers,
