Fitbit Support Anywhere? - Surge Bluetooth Pairing Issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My surge initially paired with my Iphone 6 fine, or so it seemed.  It synced OK but when I turned noticfications on it told mne it had to be paired. According to my bluetooth settings it was, but I tried again using the pair mode on the watch to no avail.  Then I removed the Surge from my bluetooth devices and tried to pair it again. I got the notification on my surge with a number and I got a notification from the Iphone that the device wanted to pair and I said OK. Then it spun it's wheels and I got a message that the pairing was unsuccessful.  And before anyone asks, yes the bluetooth on the watch was on after the first pairing and yes I did put it in pair mose when I tried to pair it. Yes the bluetooth was ON on the Iphone and the phose was 6 inches away from the Surge.  I bought this two days ago for $249.00 and this problem is unacceptable.  IK'm about ready to return it.

The Bluetooth setting you are looking at on the Surge is strickly used for music control,  and shows up as Surge Classic on the phones Bluetooth screen.

With the Fitbit devices the pairing of the Bluetooth Low Energy, shows up as Surge, must be done through the app.

Is your Surge having problems syncing?

As for support, click the settings gear that you see in the top right hand corner.

Only pairing that showed up was Surge Classic. It synced ok with the data
but I could not get notifications turned on. Anyway, it's no big deal now.
I returned the surge for a refund. If I pay that kind of money for an app
pairing should be simple and straightforward. For $50 more I can get an
Apple Watch and with apps can do the same thing the surge does and a hell
of a lot more.
