Fitbit Surge Will Not Pair

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit surge has not synced since September 28. I have been trying here and there to figure out why. I still could not get it to sync with my phone or with my tablet, so I tried unpairing it with both devices. Now, I cannot even get my surge to pair with either device. On my phone it keeps saying my bluetooth needs to be restarted. I restart the bluetooth and just keep getting the same message. On my tablet it says it finds my surge, but the 4 digit code never pops up on my surge so that I can complete the pair. Why is this happening? How can I get my surge to re-pair?

Hey, @jdenn425! Welcome! Man Very Happy Can you please try to unpair your tracker from both devices on your Bluetooth settings, and then try to pair with your tablet and while you do, make sure that all the other bluetooth devices have the bluethoot off or disable, including your phone. This should let you get the 4 digit code and sync your tracker correclty.

Let me know how it goes!Man Wink

I have been having the exact same problem and have had to unpair from a Samsung Galaxy S4. The device sees the Surge but cannot pair with it. I have removed all other bluetooth devices from the vicinity. What else do you suggest?

I have also tried deleting and then re-downloading the fitbit app. I did a hard reset on the fitbit as well. Neither of these things helped in my case but maybe they will help you. Jessica Dennison

I cannot repair the fitbit to my phone or my tablet. This is part of the problem. Jessica Dennison

Hello, @ali440! Welcome aboard. @jdenn425, thanks for the updates! This is very weird, if none of the troubleshooting steps you've tried worked, please follow these instructions for computer set up. After finishing this process, you can just log out and back in from the App to refresh the changes and should be able to sync without going through the setup process.
