I am disappointed by FitBit today. I have a surge that the wristband is breaking between the screws on the back side. I have had the Surge for about 16 months. I reached out to CS via email and they basicaly said. Ooops your out of warranty. To bad here is a gift card to purchase another.
This is terrible customer experience. Fitbit has not resolve the issue, or provided a remedy, and now they want me to spend another 250 bucks to replace a tracker that works fine because the 4$ silicone molded band is failing.
Does anyone have a remedy or do I need to go to Apple?

Unfortunately the band can't be replaced on the Surge without replacing the whole thing.
Your options seem limited to buying another or choosing an alternative tracker such as Apple's.
