Fitbit Surge broken or Metabolism broken?

First time poster here. I've been using the Fitbit Surge since October and am not really have any results (weight is flat since October). For reference, I'm 29, 6'0", 220 lbs. On the average day I burn ~4,000 calories (per my fitbit surge) as I do lots of running and I intentionally do not consume more than 2,500 calories. For the last 2 weeks I only consumed food that indicated caloric content to ensure it was not me underestimating my calories consumed (I gained a half pound in that time).

My history is probably a little unusual so here are the bullet points.

- When I was 17 I reached about 340 lbs, at which point I started calorie restriction and exercising.

- By the time I was 20 I weighed 160 lbs and exercised everyday.

- I became an avid marathon runner, running 70-100 miles per week from 21-26

- At this point, I ran into several foot and knee injuries and began gaining weight rapidly as my running "career" fell apart

- At nearly 30 I'm now 220. I currently am running about 40-45 miles per week. On my worst holidays, I do not exceed the projected burned number from my fitbit. Since using the fitbit the only thing to change is my resting heart rate (now 45 bpm, was 55, due to increasing my running to higher levels). I've always had a low resting heart rate, at my heaviest it was 65.

So now I'm a bit concerned there's something wrong with me. Even if fitbit is over projecting by 20% I should still be burning 700 calories a day and it's just not happening. Not sure what to do next. Anyone have a similar experience?

Hello my friend, welcome to the Community @BillN26.2 Smiley Very Happy! Do you have a Food Plan already? I'd totally recommend this!

Are you logging your exercises?

Are you logging your food?

How's the way you use your Surge?
