Hello!
I am writing because I can't seem to find any information on this. My brother has cerebral palsy, and is extremely active. Although he uses a walker mostly, he can use a cane to get around. He is very interested in getting a Surge to help him lose some weight. I am under the belief that the surge works mostly off of motion and for him, his wrists are generally stationary on his walker, so this wouldn't be accurate.
So my question is, does the Surge or the Charge HR give calorie burn information off of motion or off of the heart rate information that it gathers?
Thank you so much!!

The devices are incredible, but most of them do go by arm movements for steps.
Had you considered getting him the One, which is attached to the waist? You could probably attach it to his walker, too.
