Fitbit app not syncing saved/finished exercises

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
I have a fitbit surge and everything I do an exercise it logs it on my fitbit and I click finish but then when I sync my app with my fitbit the app doesn't say that I've done any exercises.
The app syncs with my fitbit and logs the steps and calories etc... just not the exercises.

The fitbit firmware is up to date and the fitbit app is also up to date. I have tried reinstalling it and logging out/in etc. Nothing works.

Help please!

Hello @Danielleuk88, welcome aboard to our Fitbit community. Note that it will depend how you are logging your exercise. but an easy way to know if your exercise is been recorded is reviewing your online Dashboard on your activity history. Here should appear all the exercise recorded with your tracker.

If the exercise is not been recorded, then I recommend a restart. If you need the steps for this, I have shared the instructions for a restart on this post. It might come handy is you need additional information.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

I came here to start a thread on this -- I have the Surge and an iPhone 6+.  Twice I have completed long walks (8.6 miles a couple of weeks ago and just today 6.15 miles).  The iPhone app shows the route, time and distance but it can't load the steps or heart rate from the fitbit.  In the list of exercises it just says "not synched" and when I open the specific exercise it says "try again to sync".

Both times I've tried all four of these to no avail:

1. charging the Surge to full charge

2. restarting the fitbit

3. turning off blue-tooth on the iPhone and turning it back on

4. restarting the iPhone.

The longest exercise I've had sucessfully sync was exactly 6 miles in between these two that would not sync.

Same problem. anything over 4 or 5 miles and it won't load the steps or heart rate. I check throughout the walk and the surge does show my heart rate.

It worked for me after restarting the fitbit.  Thank you for the restarting instruction.  I saw some other post saying that it won't sink the exercises distances that are longer then 5 miles.  I will see if this is true.  I just replace my fitbit a few days ago because I forgot to take it off when I went snorkeling.  oh well.   This new fitbit seemed not to sync as well and not as fast.  I never have any syncing problem with my old fitbit.

Hey guys!

@gerryg80 and @jbcjrsb I would like to know, are you still having the same inconvenience with your Fitbit Surge?

@chris2016, if your tracker is not syncing, then I suggest you to take a look into the instructions on @AlejandraFitbit post so you can fix that on your iOS device.

Let me know how it goes! Woman Very Happy

Sorry for the delayed response. I walk at lunch every day weather permiting, 1.8 to 2 miles, and it syncs fine. This morning I went 7.11 miles and I can't get it to sync. I restarted everything but I didn't reinstall the app. Not this time anyway, I did before. I also changed the setting on the phone so it wouldn't go to sleep. If it will sync the short distances why won't it sync the longer ones?

Thanks for your response @jbcjrsb! If after try the steps I previously posted, your tracker still not syncing, then I suggest you to get in touch with Fitbit Support directly and let them know about this. But if it is working fine, let me know!
