Posting this here because not sure where else to. I am on my second Fitbit surge (Fitbit replaced the first one and has offered to replace this one as well). On both the band has pulled away from the watch face in the exact same place. My current one was replaced in May (only 6 months ago). At first Fitbit was only going to give me a discount but then offered to replace without warranty. This is really an issue for me. I work out almost everyday and need a watch that is durable and can last more than six months. From reading comments here the band design is clearly defective. If Fitbit can't provide some type of warantee/standby their quality I think it's time for me to move on and go with the apple of garmin (my husband has had the garmin for 2 years without issue). My trainer just asked what I thought and I said warxh featurea are there but wouldn't buy bc of the issues I have had.

I would take the replacement fitbit offered you, that way you will at least get some money's worth. I would also check out other brands and read the forums for other brands so you have some idea of what to move to as your correct in thinking the new surge will also not last. The surge has been discontinued. I changed to the Garmin vivoactive hr 15 months ago and have not regretted it. I have just ordered the new vivoactive 3 and am sure I'm gong to love it also. Good luck with whatever you decide.
