Hello,
I have a question regarding the consitency of the HR reading accurately on a consistent basis. I walk 2 miles in the morning and rely on the map and HR monitor to show me what's going on. All was well until the 25th of January, when it showed an erratic peak (High 170s towards the end of my walk (last 1/8th) and then returned to normal. Normal rest rate occurred within 3 - 5 minutes.
The natural conclusion is that there is something wrong with the actual HR, but the problem is that the rest of the walk averages between 120 and 140 at about 3 to 3.5 mph. I have been walking for months and have no symptoms indicating any issues; as a matter of fact, I feel rather good as I am walking. My usual resting rate is between the upper 50s to the mid 70s.
Additionally, I contacted my Dr. and am wearing a monitor, but I highly suspect it will show nothing, resulting in an issue with the watch.
I carefully watch how I wear the watch so that the protocol indicated by the instructions are followed. What are the possible issues that I might address with the watch itself?
Thanks,
Jake

Hello @jake7363! This is really interesting. I appreciate the time you took to provide us the details of this. The first I recommend is that you restart your Surge, this will fix any inconvenience it may have. Besides the way you wear your tracker there are other reasons that may impact the Heart Rate readings of your Surge tracker. If this is not the case don't hesitate to contact me back.
