Surge - Sleep mode

I have a lot of trouble sleeping and one of the reasons I decided to get a fitness tracker was to get a log of my sleeping patterns to show to my doctor.

I have my Surge set to sensitive and while it does show that I am only getting half the time asleep as I spend in bed, it only shows me as restless and not awake. However I am very much awake during most of these "restless" periods. I don't know what the Surge wants me to do to register as awake. I have purposely tried doing multiple barrel rolls in bed and vigorously shaking my fist towards the God of insomnia, but it still only logs as restless and not awake.

Can anything be done? I don't think my Doctor will take the data seriously if it only shows restless sleep.

Welcome on board @SunsetRunner!

Restless status during your sleep  indicates that your body transitioned from a very restful position with little movement to movement, such as turning over in bed. This doesn't necessarily mean that you were fully awake, but it may indicate that you were not getting the most restful sleep possible at that time.

When your Surge indicates that you are moving so much that restful sleep would not be possible, your sleep graph will indicate that you were awake. Let me know if this is not the case and I'll be happy to follow up with you.

Keep me posted.
