I have been, over the past 4-5 days, having trouble swiping between screens. Beginning yesterday, I have been unable to sync my Surge to my devices.
Soooo, this morning I attempted to restart my device. I have powered it down just fine (pushing /holding home and bottom right button for 15-30 seconds). I waited 30 secs and pushed the home button again. The little fitbit logo comes on the screen but then doesn't do anything else. It seems to be frozen. I have tried repeating the power down. It has been easily over a half hour since last power down.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

I would plug your Surge into the charger for 1 hour then try again. Good luck!

I'll give it a shot when I get home but the battery is not low and I did have it on the charger this morning for about a half hour before I tried restarting it.
thanks

I'm having the same issue with my Surge. Mine wont swipe on the Menu screen, its stuck on run. I'm a technical person so trouble shooting should not be this hard. I'm going to try the reset feature.

Reseting just worked fine for me. It was looking like it was stuck on the fitbit logo sceen but all I did was hit the home button once and it went streight to the menu screen. Did you try hitting the home button once to see if you can get off the logo screen.

I had 2 Surges before moving on to the Blaze - which is MUCH improved. My second Surge also became impossible to swipe between screens - about once a day - and only a reset would fix it for another day!

Yeah, tried hitting all the buttons individually, starting with home button. Nothing. Still the logo

Sounds like you have a bad Surge - contact customer support, hopefully they have a magic bullet! Good luck and keep stepping.
