I have tried using both the Walk and Hike functions on my Surge of late, testing it over the same route several times. While Walk gives me a very accurate geolocation of my walk, the Hike function is well off - around one block or 300m east of my actual position on the ground. It appears as though Walk and Hike use different mapping datums even though they are presented on the same Google map. Location Sydney area Australia.

Hi @Turboroo! Please receive a warm welcome to the Fitbit Family! It's great to see you participating in our Community!
That's odd, but thanks for sharing this information with us. At least 24 GPS satellites are constantly in orbit around the Earth and broadcasting data so even if the signal is lost, your phone or Fitbit device continually searches for a GPS signal and as you mentioned that you're testing it on the same route, it technically should be giving pretty similar information.
Have you tried to restart your Surge! If you don't, please do so. Also take in count these steps when you're using your Surge to map your route. If after doing so you have the same result, please take a screenshot of your routes; I'd like to take a look of them.
Hope this helps and please keep me posted!
