How to enable the gps tracker

I just got a fitbit surge. Its new to me and the 2 things i cant figure out is how to start or find the gps tracker and how to get notifications from my phone to appear.

If you put it in run or bike mode, the GPS will automatically start and you will see it trying to get a signal. You can view the manual here.

Depending on what exercise you are doing the GPS will start automatically. The exercise will have a satellite on the home page which means it uses GPS. Not all excerise's use GPS though.

The phone notifications would be in the Fitbit app I believe.

My surge doesn't have a bike mode though
