I made 10k, band agrees, app does not

So this has happened to me a couple of times. I went on my walk, got the 10k step alert, come to the app and the data is inconsistent with what I know my step count was. How do I fix this?

@Spookykat Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Did you synced your tracker to check the updated data? If you did and see that it is not accurate, I'd recommend restarting your Surge. Also, check the dominant hand setting for improved accuracy.

 

As another tip, adjusting your stride length is always good for data accuracy overall.
