Hey hey hey @AdeNeade welcome to the Fitbit Community! It is nice to have you here 😄 Well well, that is strange. Have you restarted your Fitbit Surge? If not I will suggest to give it a try. Also uninstalling and reinstalling your Fitbit app to be sure that it is working properly. Lastly check your Surge firmware update.

While charging you can address the state of the battery through your dashboard which shows the completely charged capacity as "high"

@AdeNeade If it takes 10-15 minutes to show a fully charged battery icon, your tracker is having some internal issues, and I would suggest to contact support for further assistance.
Just to be clear ,I never meant to insult you, I was answering to your initial question and excuse myself for the misunderstanding. Now with the information provided in your last post I can see that something is not working well in your tracker.
