Inaccurate step counting

my Surge will count steps when i'm asleep and when it's sitting on the side being charged, is this normal.

Nice to see again in the Forums @Billybob361! Well, it will depend on how many steps we're talking about. If you're getting just a few steps, it might be that it's because you moved your Fitbit around and it felt those movements. It may be taking also vibrations from another device, like a stereo or if it is next to your TV for example. Now, talking the steps tracked at night, we'll have to check specific time frame also. Cat Wink

 

You can check when those steps were taken by checking your Fitbit.com Dashboard on the computer or on your phone browser.  Once you're logged in into your Fitbit Dashboard, click on Log > Activities >  Choose the date and see the steps. You will see the time line of the day, if you hoover your mouse on the lines you will see the steps information. Smiley Wink
