Incompatibility with Asus

I just got the Surge. My main phone is the Asus Padfone S on android 6.0.1. Installed the fitbit app and paired with the phone. All went well until it tried to sync. It loops endlessly trying to sync without any success.

I tried all the resetting, uninstalling, rebooting. No success. Until I checked and found that  Asus compatibility is not there!

Took out my old Xiaomi, installed the app and it syncs flawlessly!

Asus is a major smartphone brand. Why can't fitbit solve the compatibility issue with them?

Am seriously considering returning the watch.

Asus is not a major phone brand all over. The best selling phones in the US are the first to get tested. Then, lesser known phones (models, not brands) get tested.

Thanks for your question. Actually, we still don't have any information in regards when the list of compatible devices will be updated. I wouldn't like giving you any false expectations or misleading info. We know that this is something that our users need and want, that's why our team is always reviewing.

Sorry you feel that way, but when a phone model is not added to the list, must likely it's because Fitbit can't assure it will work flawless. But, you have other options to keep using your Fitbit tracker, you can sync via computer, laptop, other compatible devices, for example
