Hey Everyone,
Yesterday my surge clocked me at climbing 23 floors, when in reality I maybe went up and down my stairs twice. This morning in the 2 hours I've been up I have 23 floors climbed and transversed 7 miles in my kitchen and den. I wear the surge on my non-dominant hand and take it off/shut it down when I go to sleep.
I have done done the factory reset, to get the Surge back on track. Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

How you doing my friend @Bandkiller? Welcome! It was an excellent idea to come here to check more information in regards accuracy of stairs and steps. Have you read these information on how Fitbit trackers tracks floors and how to test your tracker?
Take a look of these instructions to know exactly when are you getting those extra floors to have an idea on what is causing it.
I'll be around!

I woke up one morning and as I put my Surge on my wrist I noticed that it showed I had walked 21 563 steps and climbed 52 floors, quite impressive considering I was asleep and my Surge was sitting on my desk the whole time - perhaps it fancied a walk. On a serious note it is very odd that it recorded that data and based on my complete experience with my FitBit I'm of the opinion that they aren't well designed/ made devices.
