Hi there,
I just received my Surge yesterday, and was super excited to try it out for some short sprints this morning outdoors.
First, it seems the GPS did not register the full 100m; second, the pace was wildly inaccurate when I went back and reviewed the activity on my computer - as in barely walking pace. I knew heart rate would probably be off, as I know it's difficult to measure HR via an optical sensor for short intervals.
I am so hoping to love this Fitbit - like many of the other runners in here, I have used Garmin for many years and love its accuracy, and options to set up various workouts. If Fitbit wants to make the Surge a true "performance" watch, then they really need to follow suit.
Any input would be welcome. I'll continue to test over the next week or so - if it continues to be inaccurate, then I'm afraid I'll be returning it. 😞
