I am looking at getting the Surge to track my bike rides for tracking purposes. However I am wondering if anyone has ever used the GPS feature and the app for a loved one to track location. It would be nice for my husband to know how far out I am from rondevous points and the finish lines!
I am open to sharing my fitbit log in information with him so he can see the tracking but I wasnt sure if it would sync not in immediate proximety.
Thanks for your insite.

If you mean can someone see you enroute the answer is no. It does not upload to your Fitbit account until after you have completed the ride and sync'd.

Some high end Garmins like the Fenix 3 can do that, plus if you have a Strava account you can track the ride via your phone GPS and Strava will live track.
I think my Edge can do it linking through Garmin too though have not used it...
Fitbit does not though. When I cycle I take a cheap very small clam shell phone for emergencies. Touch wood no need of it yet.
