Lock buttons while excercising?

I have a Surge and have had a problem with the pause or stop buttons being pressed while I exercise without me knowing(while lifting weights with gloves or lifting straps or while playing ball or hockey). It kinda sucks when I go to look at my stats when I am done and find the watch back in normal mode and only a portion of my workout was tracked. Is there anyway that there could be a way to lock the buttons out before starting to exercise? Maybe in a firmware upgrade at some point?

Thanks for stopping by @Jacklynjones077How you doing?

A way to lock your Surge while doing an activity is an excellent idea and I would like to encourage you to vote and place your comments in this request that was already suggested here: Lock buttons while in exercise mode, members of the Community can place new ideas in this board so they can be implemented in a future update, this is the best way to make your voice heard.

In the mean time I'd recommend you wear your Surge a little bit higher in your left wrist, so the button will be facing up. Trying to leave just the Surge on your wrist in a better position.

Hope this helps! Cat Happy

That's very annoying for me too, so I put a wristband over it and it helps keep me from hitting it.

It's quite far from optimal, but it seems to work and keep it from sliding on my wrist.

Has nay progress been made on this issue. I've had my Surge for three days now. All three days I have lost my tracking due to this.

Thank you for your reply. The developers can take add long as they need as
I returned my Fitbit Charge in exchange for the Garmin HR. After losing 5
out of 6 workout sessions I was fed up.
