I have returned two surges for condensation in the display--no water exposure--and one for a broken band for cracking at the screws, now I have another for cracking at the screws. What a piece of junk. They can't make a band that doesn't crack at the attachment point? Don't they test this stuff? Why would you build a device that cracks and gouges the user's wrist in such an uncomfrtable way? Why can't this device stand up to sweat on a long run without getting condensation inside of the face? I have tried to use my Surge (including replacements) for almost 2 years now with nothing but problems. I will attempt another replacement, but I doubt they will support that. Of not, then I am done with fitbit. I will be going back to a basic G-Shock watch with no frills, yet outstanding reliability. I will probably use my phone or my Garmin Oregon 600 for GPS from here on out.

i am very sorry to hear this @SurgeUser1 maybe the best thing to do is to get a fitbit with interchangable bands like the fitbit blaze or charge 2 or maybe even the flex or flex 2 yes they do not have their own GPS but it is the only thing i can think of again i am sorry hope this helps!

I reported this issue through Fitbit a few days after my original post. They didn't even read my submission because their response asked me for all the details I already provided and I responded to that inquiry but have received no responses to that or two subswuent pings on the issue.
