For a month munch fathers fitbit just won't sync. I think the Bluetooth may Be broken - is that a possibility? It for instance shows the battery meter with some accuracy but will register no steps. I have reinstalled, restarted, literally tried everything mildly obvious. I can't get it to pair with a new phone either. Any advice?

That's a long time without a Fitbit! Thanks for trying those steps, I'd like to know what is the phone that you're using; please check if this model is in the list of supported devices. And make sure it's up to date too. Here you will find some steps to try after that:
