Need help syncing my Surge

I bought it at the end of December 2015 and have regretted ever since. Thought I could get used to the dimly lit screen and short battery life. Then of course a few months into 2016 the Blaze came out.  I contacted Fitbit about doing an upgrade (although it was cheaper than what I paid for the Surge) since I'd only had the Surge for 13 weeks. Naturally I was told I missed it by a week since I was now over 90 days into owning the Surge. Oh well I manged to keep moving forward with what I had.   Now 1 year and 8 months into it, this useless hunk of plastic won't stayed synced, the battery barely makes it past 2 days, the wrist band is breaking apart underneath where its attached to the watch body and of course today it stopped working altogether.   Any recommendations on what's better out there? Thanks!

Hi yes - did check  with my iPhone's OS and syncing procedure.  I was told by Best Buy that having bought the Surge in December of 2015, it was no longer under warranty.  I had not checked with Fitbit's warranty department.  I would be interest in another product should there be some kind of discount given for this one. The bottom (inside) of the band is cracked on both sides of the case - see photos.inside - backinside - backTorn inside bottomTorn inside bottomTorn inside topTorn inside topoutside - well taken care ofoutside - well taken care of
