When I first turned on my Fitbit it asked me to choose whether or not I wanted my activity steps to be counted with my with daily steps overall. It said that it could not be changed without resetting the Fitbit. How do I change this now? I no longer want my activity steps to be included with my regular daily steps.
I am not trying to stop it from counting steps I just want it to be done separately from my activities.
What is the setting that it warns can't be changed while doing first setup?

@SavwahFer Like @MikeF I have never seen that message. To double check, I just setup my other Surge and that option was never offered. Was it in the SmartTrack options.?
Did the message appear on a phone or PC ?

I'm afraid I've never heard of a setting that made that possible.
@SavwahFer I have just loaded the Surge onto my Mobile Phone and I couldn't see any reference.
If I understand your earlier post you wish to keep your planned activities away from the 24 hour totals for steps.
The only way you can do that is to keep a manual log of your exercises/activity/steps outside of the Fitbit Dashboard.and subtract that from the 24 hour total.
If you wish to keep the calories separate you are going to have to subtract your BMR from them to give you your exercise calories.
Please keep us informed so that @SteveH and @MikeF can help because my interpretation may be way off.
