I'm glad to see you around @SunsetRunner @Brutus1, how's everything going?  

My friend @SunsetRunner is right let me say. If you won’t be using your tracker for a while, Fitbit Blaze, Fitbit One, and Fitbit Surge can be turned off to preserve battery life.

To turn off your Surge:

1. Press the Home button (left) and then swipe to the Settings screen.
2. Tap Settings and swipe until you see Shutdown.
3. Tap the arrow on the bottom right.
4. Tap the checkmark to confirm shutdown.
5. To turn your Surge back on, press any button.

This way your tracker will stop tracking your data, once it's back on, it will start doing its job.
