hello @frpm190to135lbs and welcome to the community i am sorry to hear that you can not use the touch screen:( i have a surge and if my touch screen stopped working the best thing to do would be to restart your tracker ( with the surge you hold the left (home) button and the bottom button on the right) ireally hope this helps! if not please contact customer support.

I've moved your post to the Surge board so it can get more attention from the community. As @Exercisemaniac recommended, is best to restart your Surge at this moment to check if the display gets responsive afterwards. I would like to suggest @Rich_Laue's excellent instructions to restart your device, but in case this doesn't do the trick, please contact our Support Team, I'm sure they will be glad to assist you further.
