I have just received a new SURGE cz the band of the old one broke completely.
Below mentioned are the issues I'm facing with the new Surge I received
Note that it is updated to the latest firmware, and is brand new (Have just charged it twice)

It's great to see you in the Community @SunsetRunner! Welcome to the Forums. Thanks for sharing with details what is happening with your new Surge, please restart your tracker and try to do the Setup again following this instructions to see if this helps. If this doesn't work, I think that it's best to contact back Fitbit Support, so you can let them know the peculiar behaviour of this replacement. I'm sure they will be happy to assist you.

I tired the steps suggested by you but to no avail.
I wrote to Fitbit support and will update you once I hear back from them.

- It turns off every now and then by itself despite having a full battery. After that
- It does not start by pressing the power button. I have to press the left button multiple times to switch it on. And
- I'm not able to reset it by keeping the left and lower right button pressed simultaneously for 15 seconds or so. Though i succeded in resetting it a few times but to no avail.
