I am again now with the 2nd replacement Surge watch band pealing off a the top of the front face. Again they just want to replace and give you 30% off. So when the next 3rd Surge watch comes in the mail and last another 6 months I will be needing to go and find a different brand to buy and make sure they have a better warranty with better satisfaction. Unhappy and pissed off. $340.00can on a watch that will last 1 1/2 - 2 years before being replaced. BrandenUnhappy2017

Yep. I found out the same way! Three Surges in 16 months and now they won't stand by their most expensive product. However, if you live outside the US, it appears the warranty is 2 years. I am not sure how they get away with that but regardless.

I'm on my second surge as well second one in two years...**ahem** shame because I love the watch but they need to get a better design for the bands. They won't even replace mine anymore gave me the 30% off but I doubt if I will buy another one until they come up with a better design. no longer a happy customer...Apple here I come

AliExpress has the perfect fitbit surge replacement. I ordered mine. It came 2 weeks after, fits perfect and feels better than the original one.

We have Fitbit products and the same problem has occurred and we are on our 3rd one, each of us. This is an obvious defect that the company continues to overlook. After you are out of warranty it is too bad. I won't continue to throw money away on a product with a known defect that the company won't fix, they give you a new one however that does not solve the problem. Time to move on to another company.

Why move to another product when you can buy a replacement strap for your Surge at significantly lower cost, (around $20 from Aliexpress).
Yes, it's a pity that FitBit themselves won't sell or fit a replacement strap; but it seems like cutting your nose off to spite your face simply buying another expensive product when for a few bucks you can continue to enjoy the working one you've already got.

its great that you found that option to buy another band congratulations...I choose not to do that when I have spent $500 on a surge and a HR Charge for my daughter that both bands broke. The purpose of our blog to voice concern. If it not a concern for you, don't reply
