Surge Battery Life Only Lasts 1-2 Days

I have been very cautious with only charging my Fitbit Surge for the recommended 1-2 hours, however, one day I left it on for 4 hours because I simply forgot about it. Ever since then the battery only lasts 1-2 days. And the only way it even lasts up to 2 days is if I turn it off while I sleep! Which is a huge reason I own a Fitbit in the first place - sleep tracking. Leaving it on the charger for an extra 2 hours should have in no way ruined the battery so if anyone has any further advice, please inform me.

Also I called Fitbit customer service 3 days after I noticed the defect and they did not help me in any way, rather just offered me a 30% off coupon to buy a completely new one. I just spent $250 on a product that barely lasted me a year, ill pass on spending another couple hundred if I risk having the same problem down the road.

I have the same problem, although I have left my Surge in overnight.  Now, I'm lucky to get a full day's charge out of it.  I would assume there would be guidance/resolution to this issue from Fitbit since this is an expensive model and the issue adverselay affects their reputation.

I have ahs this issue with every fitbit. Contact customer service and let them know. They are really good about sending replacements but I just think they should make a better product.

Thanks for your advice to contact customer support. Pending that, I now am trying to extend battery life by shutting off message notifications, backlight, aand heart rate to test and see if the battery charge lasts longer than 1-2 days. If not, I'll take advice and contact customer support. Too large an investment for the product not to meet expectations as advertised.
