Surge Call and Text Notifications

I had my Surge replaced - even though it was damaged, it is still working -  and I generously gave my old one to a friend who was going through some hard times.  The problem I have now is that she is still getting my Text and Call notifications as well as me getting them on my new one - how do we stop that happening.

Two questions.

1.  you need to be in bluetooth range of your phone in order to send the notifications.  How close is your friend to you?

2.  Did you remove the unit from your list of linked devices to your phone?

Yes the "linked" to my phone could be the issue. Have removed it from my
phone, so we will see what happens tomorrow when we are together.

Thanks for the help.

Hey there @Lesleyb987! Welcome to the Fitbit Zone! Adding to the information that @wtksk8r provided you. I wanted to clarified that when you connected your Surge with a phone, they bonded via Bluetooth, so even if you delete your Surge from the Fitbit App, they are still connected via Bluetooth. Smiley Embarassed

In order to end this bond, access to your phone Settings and delete the Surge from the Bluetooth section. Your friend needs to do the "Setup" with her phone and access to the "Call and Text Notifications"  in the Fitbit App, to create a new bond between the Fitbit Surge and her phone, after that she will be getting her notifications right away. Please let me know if you have more questions!
