Surge Floor Climbing Calculations

I have already looked up and found that it is not stairs that are counted but the altitude of 10 feet to equal 1 floor. Does taking an elevator or escelator cause false readings? They wouldn't truly be false if the ride is counted as an elevation of altitude but it would in turn mess up my numbers for the day.

I have not heard of them being recorded on an elevator or escalator.

You need to be walking as well as the 10 feet of elevation

Thanks wendy, if that's the case it's an awesome feature. I take the stairs at work and everywhere I go when available.
