Surge HR registering when not working!!!

So I have a Surge. I cannot wear this at work so bought a flex. Been at work this morning with Flex on. Came out at 1215 and changed to the Surge. Just gone on the app and it shows my heart rate between 0800 (when I took it off) and 1215 when I put it back on as being mainly in the fat burn zone and some cardio. Is the Surge faulty (not the first time it's happened!!) and I've reset it a number of times or is it my flex somehow playing up even though it has no HR sensor.
It's really frustrating me as my figures are all out and especially my calories. Makes it pointless wearing them. If things don't start improving I'll be demanding a refund on my Surge, Flex and Aria scales.

Not sure this will work, but I would try turning off the HR (it is likely on auto) when you remove it to see if that gets the results you want. If that works, it is the auto feature that is not working well. I have found when I take it off, it sometimes keeps looking for a HR - I have found any movement or any change in light seems to make it think it should be on.  Good luck and let us know how that goes!
