I think my fitbit Surge is reporting too high....but I think I know what it is. Basically I'm 6ft8 about 250lbs and dropping it rather steady through Weight training. Today as of right now (17:37) my fitbit says I've burnt 3940 Cals. I done weight training this morning before work for roughly an hour (burnt around 470 cals) and walked to the shops for my Lunch (the surge marked it as activity and say I burnt 237 cals for it). I've walked about 7000 steps so far too.
Taking my activities into account I still think this is over egged. I've watched my heart rate and doing basic tasks it is saying it goes to 110 bpm.....but I've been wearing the surge fairly loose as I started getting the fabled rash on my wrist. To me it seems that the looser it is, the higher my heart rate :). If I wear it in a comfortable fitting (I can still slide my finder between the band and my wrist) it seems to drop rapidly back to my resting rate of round 65bpm.
Has anyone else noticed that wearing it loosely (but tight enough to always get a reading) makes the surge HR rocket up?

Thank you for joining the Fitbit Community @Dilvid! I did notice a difference in my heart rate if I wear my Surge differently. It's best if you wear it a bit tighter just as you mentioned on your post. Test it by wearing it this way for a couple of days and check the difference in heart rate. You can also try the recommendations listed in this post.
If you still need help with this, feel free to post back.
