Surge Replacement downgrade option

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I reported my second Fit Bit surge to customer support for a broken band.  This is a well-known issue and will most likely happen again with my replacement unit.  Is there any way I could downgrade my replacement to a Blaze or even an Alta where I will have a band replacement option for the future.  My warranty will end in January 2017.  At this point even though my replacement will likely fail in the same manner, I will not be eligible for a replacement.  I will gladly lose some features that are in the Surge for a reliable product that will last more than a year.

This is a fitness product and I would fully expect a rubber band to have issues and break.  Please give me an opportunity to have a product with a replaceable band.

I will happily send you the confirmation code of my unit should a downgrade be an option.

Thank you,

Michael

Fitbit doesn't has the facility to be able to get another tracker even when paying the price difference.

You could get the replacement tracker  (Surge) sell it on second hand website and purchase the Alta or Blaze which are the newest trackers with exchangeable bands..

I support your suggestion, I would gladly take a downgrade at this point if it means not having to deal with strap issues every 3 / 4 months. I LOVE my FITBIT but the strap replacement issues detracts from my experience with it.
Come on FitBit, if you not going to provide replacements traps or quality straps for a very expensive fitness tracker / watch then please downgrade those who are willing to take a Blaze as a replacement. The Blaze doesn't seem to have the same strap issues.
