It should not scratch that bad. You can buy a screen protector for the next one

Hey there @tg30! As you mentioned gorilla glass screens are very reliable, it's very similar to the phones' screens. Have you contact support already? It'd be a really good idea to report this incident to them so they can give you hand with that!
