I am extremely upset with the warrantee loophole. I purchased my Fitbit Surge in August 2015 and in July 2016 the screen stopped working. I called the service hotline and was able to get a replacement device. However, less than three months later the band on the replacement Surge started stripping and bubbling at the faceplate. The band also started peeling away at screws. I called service to complain about the device and was told I would have to purchase a new Surge because the warrantee had expired from the original pair date of August 2015. I tried to explain to both the Supervisor and rep that the replacement item was defective. It is not a full three months since I received the device and even with normal wear and tear, the devices should not be in this condition and I should not be responsible for it but to no avail they insisted I purchase a new one at 25% off eventhough the replacement was defective. What else can I do? I really shouldn't have to pay for a new one if the replacement was defective!!

Its not a loophole.
If you read any warranty for any item they state the same thing. It happened with my Washer. Its always from the day you buy the original

My washer was defective after a 3 months as well it did not matter. It reverts back to the time you bought it. Check your other warranties.
