So I got my surge today. It indicates it is fully charged however when I unplug it it shuts down and won't turn on no matter how long I charge it. Am I missing something or did it just ship broken?

Customer support is awful but they will offer to sell you a replacement at a discount. Toss it in the trash and buy a different brand with reputable Customer Service.
And customer service is a joke. They will offer to sell you a new one at a 25% discount rather than replace your current device.
